How it works.

Music video production might sound daunting. Not with us! Working with AHP is more like hanging out with friends that have nifty cameras. Here’s the whole path from idea to premiere.

    The most successful shoots come from a solid plan. Bring an idea, or let our directors build one with you.

    Shoot day

    Come rehearsed & ready to have fun

    Cinema cameras, lighting and a crew sized to the shoot: 1–2 people for a simple performance, 3+ for bigger productions. We bring a Bluetooth speaker for lip sync.

    The edit

    First draft in about a week

    We cut to the music. On average a first draft lands in two to three days (always under a week), shared as a private YouTube link.

    Color

    Graded in DaVinci Resolve

    Every frame is colored in DaVinci Resolve and tossed with our secret sauces. It’s the step that makes a music video feel like a movie.

    Revisions

    A one-hour edit session

    Your revision round is a one-hour Zoom (or in-person) screen-share session where we make changes live, together. Email notes with timecodes work too.

    Delivery

    4K master + your photos

    Your final is delivered as a full 4K export through a private Dropbox link, along with 25–100 edited stills from the shoot for your socials.

SC.06B Terms

Payment &
delivery.

Payment

We require 50% of the production fee to reserve a date and start pre-production. The 50% down payment is non-refundable, since it reserves our time and starts work on your project.

100% of any expenses are paid before the shoot date (invoiced with the production fee or separately). Anything that comes up during production is invoiced afterwards.

The remaining 50% and any outstanding invoices are due before final delivery, within 7 days of the production date. Late invoices incur a $100 fee, plus $100 for each additional month.

Revisions

A round of revisions is a one-hour Zoom screen-share (or in-person) edit session. If you send notes by email, include precise timecodes.

Additional revision time, including special cuts for social media, is $250 per hour.

Delivery

The first draft arrives about a week after production as a private YouTube link, as do any revision rounds.

The final is delivered through a private Dropbox link once all invoices are paid.

Invoicing

Booking starts with a QuickBooks invoice sent to your email. It accepts partial payments: enter your deposit in “payment amount” at the top.

We accept bank transfer and ACH. Paying by card? Let us know. A 3% transaction fee is added.

SC.06C Expenses

Beyond the
package.

Packages cover lighting, filming and editing. Depending on your concept, a few optional extras can come up. Here’s what to keep in mind.

    Pre-production

    Location scouting, casting, hair & make-up, beat sheets, shot lists and storyboards make for a fun, stress-free shoot. Let us know if you want us to take charge of this part.

  • 02

    Behind the scenes

    Want more content? Our team can capture a dedicated behind-the-scenes edit plus BTS photos, starting at $600.

  • 03

    Talent

    Hiring extras or lead talent? Backstage.com is a great resource, and we’re happy to help.

  • 04

    VFX & motion graphics

    Music videos get creative with VFX. These are priced by the hours needed. We’ll outline them in a proposal after consulting our VFX team.

  • 05

    Crew

    Every package includes a crew for filming and basic lighting. Need extra hands, hair & make-up or stylists? We can help secure them.

  • 06

    Location

    Some locations charge for productions, and some require insurance or permits, and we can assist. Peerspace.com is a great place to find locations.

  • 07

    Props & set building

    Some ideas need props or set construction to land a look or tell the story. Tell us what you’re imagining and we’ll put the team together.

  • 08

    Gear

    We’re a fully equipped production house, but some specialty gear (projectors, DJ lights, tilt-shift lenses, bullet-time rigs…) may be rented. We’ll help you figure it out.

  • 09

    Food

    For longer shoots, plan a lunch break for talent and crew. It’s not required, but pizza is cost-efficient and saves time.

  • 10

    Travel

    $1.00 per mile. If a shoot exceeds a package’s mile radius, the next package up applies. For long-distance shoots, the proposal outlines airfare, lodging and transportation.
